Miki's Movie Review

"easy A"

movie trailer

I went to see this movie on a beautiful Tuesday night (which is matinee all night long at megaplex theaters so it was 2 for $12 [cha-CHING] ). Jared and I decided it was time to see a so called 'chick flick' - little did we know this was a movie that kept us BOTH laughing the entire time.

The cast was absolutely wonderful and all seemed to have awesome chemistry. Movies that have a good crew always flow way better and make it more enjoyable. I love Emma Stone (Olive), I tried to brainstorm other actresses that could play her role in easy A - not one came to mind. She plays 'the adulterer' so well with her sarcastically brilliant and outgoing personality. Emma plays a young girl who is living a real life parallel to the 'scarlet letter'. Great movie made short; her whole school thinks she is a dirty girl [slut], because she over exaggerated one little story that never happened! She then chooses to GO BIG and live the lie, instead of tell the truth.

Amanda Bynes plays her role quite amusingly as well. She is the Jesus Lovin' - bible studying - uniform wearin' - school girl who would love to keep the school pure, so Emma becomes her main 'project'.

I was very pleased with my $6 movie choice! I would suggest everyone goes to see easy A, and if you're not too sure then just redbox it! My roomie, Jazzy, and I didn't even see the movie together, but we still share laughs all the time!

I'd give the movie 2 thumbs up

AND

3 1/2 stars!

How many of you have seen this movie, did you like it? PLEASE tell me!! I was wondering though did anyone think it used to many "inappropriate" words for being rated PG 13? I'm not a mind reader - tell me what you thought??

Break, please!

Let's talk.

July 26: A girl backs into my car at a stop light and causes about 1k in damage. We exchange info, she tells me " I would much rather pay out of pocket" I say that's cool as long as it gets paid. Two weeks letter she is not responding to my calls, texts and I have no other way to contact her. I call her insurance and make the claim.

August 30: I tell girl who hit my car, I will take you to small claims court. I am filing in one week if you do not get this taken care of now.

Septemeber 3rd ish: She starts to respond to me. I send her both the estimates I got on my car. She wants to know what the charges are. I have to explain them all (mind you these dialogues take weeks.) She decided she wants me to go and get another estimate at her friends shop.

Septemeber 9: I get a flat tire and need a new one. I go into Big O and have them put a new tire on the rim. They told me that the rim doesn't look safe. It could cause problems - so they'll 'test' it and make sure it is fine. 10 minutes later. Everything is good! I have a new tire on the SAME rim.

Septemeber 17: 10AM I am about to get off the exit for school. I'm on I215 and almost at the 47th S exit. I am as nervous as a wounded seal in a pool of sharks because I hear a thunderous hum coming from my car. I knew that I needed to pull over as soon as I could make it the 300 feet off the exit. Before I could even finish the thought. I see my tire dismounted from my car fly like a drunk eagle into the sky. My car (Vern) was like an ice cube on a sleek flat surface. I was trying to get to the right shoulder and all I could do was hold the steering wheel in one spot. After what felt like an eternity later I managed to maneuver my disobedient car across 3 lanes to the shoulder. Without thinking I somehow kept myself safe and didn't hit any other cars. Sitting by myself for 15 minutes inside a car with no tire unbalanced on the side of the road alone. No one that saw the soaring tire stopped, no one that watched my sparking wheel well hitting the pavement stopped. After this long 15 minutes one MAN stopped and searched for my tire. He found it a mile away from my car off the exit and down the road. I sat with him on the side of the road shaking furiously, as he tried to decipher what had happened. A few minutes late incident management showed up.

All 3 men sat as I pursed my lips trying to hold back any awful crying noises mixed with deep life preserving breaths, that I knew I would make. They all sat and look at my car confused, looked at me worried, and asked too many questions too possibly answer. As soon as I saw Jared step onto the scene, I let loose. Crying like a newborn baby, shivering like it was not 84 degrees outside, but maybe 54 degrees. I sat in his car and gathered myself, until I could get out and make sentences without gasping for air and sanity between words. I told the remaining men what had happened, and waited for triple A.

2PM: We tow my car, on Big O's dollar to the store. They tell me they'll look at it and let me know if they will take any liability.

5pm: Of course, it is not their fault, like the car mechanic stereotype that they lived up to. Phil said he is trying to help me out by not charging me labor. But now he will be charging me for the tow. Foolish man, that Phil. He does not know that I will tell this story to every person going to get new tires, needing even an oil change, or parts. Hopefully in my lifetime I can defer as many people as possible from going to Big O Tires.

September 18th: Girl who hit my car - gives me the contact information to go get another estimate. I now am stuck from mechanic to mechanic for the rest of fall. I guarantee it.

This truly has been an exciting, fun month, but can I get a break now?? :)

Save a life, don't go to Big O Tires.
