Merry Mexico, to one and all!

Christmas season is filled with so many things! The smell of pine and gingerbread, {usually} white thick snow, a cold winter breeze and a nice warm fire. I don't know if I made that up from years of reading polar express and other christmas tales, but it seems quite christmassy to me.

This year was extraordinarily special for me, because my Jare Hound was able to take some time off work and come! Usually I would go for just about or just over 3 weeks, but Jared couldn't take all that time off work since we are going to Cozumel on January 15th. The things I do for him like cut my vacation short. We drive down to Mazatlan. . . yup DRIVE! It usually takes about 3 1/2 days of driving, because we don't drive at night due to all the hooligans and cartels. This year we made it to Mazatlan faster than we ever have before. We drove to railroad pass casino the first night, right outside of vegas.

We all sat on the Cot Jare had to sleep on, because it was yucky.

After Railroad Pass we set sail at about 9 am, maybe even later and we still made it to Nogales that night around 8, which is just unheard of. I wish I could explain in greater detail how long and tough this drive can be! Here we are in Nogales playing some "21" and eating our last delicious meal of little ceasars pizza!

The next morning we left Nogales at about 6am, we made it to the "chicken place", I really don't think it has a name and if it does, it's not as good as chicken place. We are in Navajoa here.

That night around 9:30pm we made it to Mazatlan, this picture is the day after we got there. Jared and I on the beach. The beaches in Mazatlan are beautiful!
My dad acting native with his pastries.

My first Gecko find right outside our condo!

We are BYU fans! Even on vacation we go find a bar and watch the bowl game. BYU vs UTEP.

Mikles & Jare Hound in a hammock

In old mazatlan there is a place where the diver meet and dive into rocky water from about 50 feet above. It is NUTS!

This man is in the nude. He was sun bathing in front of 100's of peeps, totally nude. kudos!

Houndlsey and Buba playing some frisbee on the beach!

MY FIRST OCTOPUS! Isn't he cute? This is the year of creatures, I found so many, but he was one of my favorite.

My mom and dad looking hot as ever for date night with all the aunts and uncles.

Poor Buba, I made him take so many pictures of Jared and I, it probably made him miss his little Noel (GF) even more.

My SECOND gecko!

At dinner this guy offered to draw Jare and I, it is almost spot on. Except my CURVY body.

I found a lizard that was NOT a gecko!

We took a boat ride over to Stone Island. So we could go Snorkeling, we found a bunch of creatures here!

pufferfish

Starfish & Sea Cucumbers!

Sea Slug, that scared Mary to pieces when I showed her the picture.

We also watch the Boise State vs. Utah game.

Christiaan and I somehow matched on the zipline day.

All geared up for the zipline, which in spanish means shoot you, scary a little bit.

I am scared of horses, so I was able to ride a donkey, while everyone else rode horses.

We went to the market, and bought a pinata, for mine and Jareds goodbye party!

We also found multi color chickens. My dad distracted my mom and bub and I went and bought 2 chicks.

This is 80 cent.

This is 10 peso!

Our cute chicky family.

The one dinner Jared and I had alone the WHOLE trip!

Getting ready to kill "el nino" pinata!

The end of our perfect trip, we all put on wrestler masks and cracked the pinata!

Do you ever have an AWESOME day?

Sometimes I have GREAT days. For instance, TODAY! I love my life right  now. School is coming to and end, for this semester anyway. All my finals are almost done. I only have 2 more classes, 1 more presentation and one more test. That is not a lot compared to what I have had to do. But I will not show you all that [for you will cry]. Here is a customer service video I did for a final project . .  There are more on my youtube channel:

Also I really like Katy Perry this week. Her songs "teenage dream" "Last Friday Night" and "firework" are pretty awesome. When I am alone in my car I scream to them and it puts me in such a good mood.

Shakira is also one of my long time favorites. I like to listen to her spanish songs when I am driving down to Mexico. It makes me feel authentic, even though she is from Columbia.
I know this isn't Spanish but it is still incredible. This girl owns!!
AND I leave for Mexico in 6 days.
