I was looking through my wedding photos, and I felt a lot of pride looking throughout them, because I did so much of the wedding myself. I had help setting up, but most everything was homemade to save money. I think they ended up looking perfect. The main themes were; big fish (vintage) blue and yellow.
These were the centerpiece stuffings. I got from hobby lobby and tore apart to fill each vase with. I also ordered blue and yellow buttons of Ebay to hold the stuffing in.
We had 8 tables, each had 3 things, chalkboard that I made
{to see CLICK here}, vase with buttons and stuffing, and then a fishbowl from the DI with succulents that I planted in them to match my bouquet.
Jared's family made the reception food. Clayton made some strawberries in Tux's.
We had assorted desserts, croissants with different filling, and a candy bar. We did all this ourself to save money and to customize. I really appreciate ALL the help from the DeMann's for this portion, and from my family too!
I made my veil, and the clip to hold it in. The Veil was from ebay, then I made a clip out of a $3 broach, and some fake pearls with a peacock feather to add some flare. I need to find a better picture.
Cake Toppers can be expensive! Well like $25 for something you'll use once. I wanted love birds so badly, but I couldn't find any I loved. So I bought 2 ceramic birds at Michaels for $2 each, and still have them for memorabilia and decoration.
Flowers are EXPENSIVE! Since we did an outdoor wedding the only flowers I ordered were my bouquet, which is Succulents, Cacti and billy balls, because I don't like flowers very much. I made all the bouquets for my bridesmaids. I bought some twigs, vase filling and feathers and twine from hobby lobby, and they turned out darling. I love they way look! They matched perfect.
The picture is a bit blurry, but you can see the ribbon and tiny key.
Each bouquet had a twine "stem" to hold, with a ribbon wrapped around, and a key attached to it. I love keys, and they added a little something extra.
Boutonnieres
The boys all had boutonnieres made from a peacock feather, some vase filling, wire, twine and a key on theirs as well. See how I made them by clicking
{HERE}.
Lights added a huge element to the wedding. We had assorted lighting everywhere.
The signs were very vintage. I cute out the sayings with my silhouette and then placed them on the wood, and mode podged them down! I had a few around. There was one that said "Jared and Miki", "Gifts" "happily ever after begins here", and "seating arrangements". They really help bring out the rustic and vintage feel.
