sick at home

Hello my best blogging friends ever! I am at home sick today. I mostly don't like being home sick, because I feel so unproductive. I usually don't change out of my jammies all day, my hair probably smells gross, my brain rots with the day time television that I secretly love. But there are also some perks, like for today. I actually get to read all of your blogs! That is fun for me. It's amazing how many stories you all have. I love to read about wedding plans, pregnancies, love, shopping, funny stories, birthdays, art and pretty much everything and anything. So while you all should definitely be enjoying your extra day in the year. I plan to be at home cuddling with my puppy waiting for my husband to come home from worky work.

I hope you all love Shia as much as I do, because here's some pictures of who I am spending my day with. I love puppy bonding days.

Find out how to party

Sunday was my little teeny baby bopper brothers birthday. He turned 20!  I guess that means he is not a baby bopper. Birthdays are big in our family. We love a reason to celebrate and get rowdy. My family is a super fun crowd. We always do odd things like buy funny colored chickens off the street in Mexico, wear wrestler masks and eat way too much cake.. Our parties are real parties.
IMG 2744

For some reason I think my parent's like Christiaan the most. Maybe that's because he's the only one who didn't move out when he was 18. So my older brother and I plus my spouse and his girlfriend met at my parents house for the fiesta on Sunday at 5 o clock. My mom is an amazing cook. She makes the best home cooked meals ever. Steak, potatoes, veggies, fruit, asparagus, stuffed mushrooms….. oh yum. She loves birthdays and family dinners and really any other gathering. Because she like to cook us delicious food. Since probably all that Brennon and I eat are frozen meals and rice? Because who doesn't love rice?
Anyway after dinner we played our first game. Which I highly suggest,  it was a blast! However maybe you should wait till a while after dinner. My dad kept saying he was going to throw up in his bad. To play this game, you take a brown paper bag and set it on the ground. You can only have your feet touching the ground - no knees or hands - nothing! You have to bend down and pick the bag up with your mouth and bring it back to standing position. Every time you pick it up successfully you cut an inch off and repeat. Eventually you get to a point where you seriously can't do it anymore, or you make it till the bag is all the way flat. I made it flat ya'll! Be proud. This game was so much fun, but my legs hurt incredibly bad yesterday. I apparently need to stretch out before making out with a paper bag in the future.

My dad and his technique.

My momma getting kicked over by the birthday boy, rude! =)
IMG 0317

My technique was awesome. I had one leg stretched out to the side, doing a one sided split then crouched the other leg as shown. It worked well, I was the first to make it flat.
IMG 0325

After everyone either mastered or miserably failed the paper bad game, we brought out the crowd pleasers. We had a piñata! It's becoming a birthday tradition. That started as a christmas event in Mexico last year. I highly suggest everyone do this when entertaining. As you can tell from the videos below, everyone is laughing hysterically and you get candy. Candy and Laughs - it get's no better. It has been proven that you can't have a bad night when there is a piñata around.

And of course, everyone loves Shia L Spinelly, she is always a party favorite. Look how creepy I am in the back. I am just watching my brothers and baby girl like I've never seen anything so tender.

If I may just add in how proud I was of the coordination of my outfit. I found my jeans at Wet Seal for $15, they are coral colored =). My over-shirt Nordstrom Rack, who knows where I got my plain white Tee from, and my Necklace Forever 21for like 6 bucks! I love their cheap jewelry! For some reason my head looks humongous. You guys would tell me if I had a ginormous head right? right??

Ugly Face Contest

I am lucky to have such an awesome best friend/ sister-in-law. Let me tell you why. Sometimes I am trying to make my day whizz by. Then I get this text...
"I challenge you to an ugly face contest"
I say, "challenge accepted"
The next 7 texts happened somewhere between 4pm and 10pm.
Things got weird..

weekend playlist!

Hey all! What are everyone's weekend plans? I hope they are excellent, as for me I plan to buy a new duvet cover and sheets. My little angel, Shia, put 3 large holes in ours. She jumps on the bed and starts running around and her little nails get caught and she rips holes really large holes that just keep getting bigger. We need tougher sheets or to calm our dog down. So I am thinking tough sheets :) This is the one I am in love with. What do you think?Screen Shot 2012 02 24 at 12 58 31 PM 2

Other than that I think I get to go out tonight with my BFF and get sushi! This makes me so excited. I crave sushi, and I always want it in my belly, but my darling Jared does not want sushi in his belly. He despises the thought even. So we don't ever go out for sushi days. I hate that. But good thing I have a best friend husband and a best friend ellen or my life wouldn't be complete.

Also GUESS WHAT? It's our half-a-versay this weekend! Which means we have been married half a year tomorrow, we just celebrated our "official togetherness" of 3 years on February 1st.  But for some reason our dating anniversary is slowing being less awesome not that we have a wedding anniversary. We share our half-a-versary with my little brothers birthday. But he's totally fine with giving up his birthday to celebrate our marriage. Isn't that nice of him?

As for my jams that I am digging this week, here they are:

Goodnight Sunrise - I wouldn't change a thing
This band is slowly getting more popular. I think they are going to get signed this year, which is awesome. When Jared used to play in "Last the Winter", he actually played a show with Goodnight Sunrise, and then we saw them a few times after that in Salt Lake. I instantly fell in love with them. These guys have talent, real talent. I know that, because they sound this incredible live too.

Hall & Oats - You make my dreams
This song is on 500 days of summer. I fell in love with it the second I heard it. So of course, I had to get the soundtrack and now I listen to it anytime I need that boost. You seriously are immediately in a good mood after you hear this. Yes?

In:Aviate - Awake
Whenever I hear In:Aviate I am hooked. I have to listen to their entire CD. I am sorry if you fall in love, because they broke up, and I hate them for that.

Lorene Drive - A kiss Won't Make This Better
Lorene Drive is also broken up. Which truly angers me. I think they are so talented. This is one of the first bands Jared introduced me to a few years ago, and I now have their CD in my car at all times. It's like the perfect amount of umph when I am just needing to forget about a bad day, and I can turn it  up and sing my lungs into deflation.

Miranda Lambert - Me and Charlie Talking
I have to add Miranda in here. Because Ellen and I are going to her concert on March 16th, and I love everything she does. This is one of my favorites off of her album Kerosene.

What are ya'll doing this weekend? What are you listening to?

7 extremely weird and odd facts about me

Sometimes when you read a blog and see your name you get super excited. I was ecstatic when freaking cutie muncher Nichole liked my baby blog enough to want to learn more about me by giving me a 7x7 award. Not only that, but sometimes isn't it kind of fun to write solely about yourself? Not what you're doing, who you love, whats frustrating you or how cute your puppy is (which mine is being absolutely adorable right now snoring on my lap soaking up laptop heat with her feet and tongue twitching) - but just write about me! It sounds a little self indulging, but hey it happens! So here I am at 10pm (11pm now that I am proof reading) watching the LA Lakers and Dallas Mavericks (obviously not closely) and blogging about lil' old miki.

7 x 7
Here's what it is. There are 4 rules.
{1} Link back to the blogger who nominated your blog. So here's to you sweet Nichole!
{2} Share 7 factuals about yourself
{3} Share 7 blog posts that fit into 7 different categories
{4} Nominate 7 award winning blogs that you want to do this 7x7

.seven. facts about the one and only, miki!
.1. I am convinced that I was meant to be born in Columbia. I will watch TV and listen to music in Spanish. I always have, don't understand why. i have an ungodly love for Shakira. I listen to all of her CD's in Spanish and English.

.2. Until I was married I have always had an iguana. My entire life I have owned 5 different ones name Stripey, Weezy, Squirt, Gordy and Dudley. When I lived at home a few years ago I had an iguana terrarium in my room, that was 6 feet tall and 4 feet wide! My iguana's loved it.

.3. I have a tattoo on my right hip. That I may have gotten on a senior trip in Mexico. No worries it is not a dolphin :)

.4. I can't feel 3 fingers on my right hand. My thumb, point and middle fingers, they are completely numb. This happened when I was about 9, and it was one of my identifiers in high school. I would get random people coming up to me asking to bite my fingers, proving I cannot feel them. Sadly I usually let them! Who just does that?

.5. I will only eat popcorn if it is dipped in ranch dressing. Everything is better with ranch. That is actually a scientific fact.

.6. This one is weird. I sleep in the shower. I take shower naps. I lay down and let the water massage my back and seriously sleep. It is one of my favorite sleeping spots. I am a good sleeper.
.7. I am sorry this last one is creepy. I love the smell of my dogs feet. I don't know why. I don't smell all dogs feet, just mine. When she is sleeping by me. I always take her paws and smell them. My husband made me promise never to tell anyone that, so he's going to be mad if he reads this. He's told me so many times to stop, because it is way too weird. Does anyone else do this?

Shoes, Pores, Roomies.. oh my!

Today is one of those days. Not a bad day by any means, just a day where I feel like I have a lot of different things to say. First off, how many of you have had roommates not including your spouse? I have had a few in my day. My first ones were friends, but we ended up not speaking again after our lease was up. My second set were 2 girls I knew, but weren't close with, we ended up being super close. I still talk to them and see them quite frequently. Now my situation is a bit different then most couples. Jared owns two homes. We live in one of them, which is a town home. It is perfect. I love it - so much! Before we were married he had 2 roommates that rented out the rooms in the basement. Roommate one is awesome. He has lived there since Jared moved in there, and he and I get along fantastically. He is seriously one of my best friends. We talk to each other about most everything. He helps me fix my car when Jared isn't home. Jared and I hang out with him and his girlfriend and it's seriously awesome, but there is also a pretend space divider. The roommates have the basement area and we have the upstairs area to entertain and hang out separately if we need our space. It really is an ideal situation, because then Jared and I aren't fronting the whole mortgage and can go on fun trips to here, here, here, and do this

Anyway, then there is roommate number 2. I love him, I really do. I met him the first out of Jared's friends and we seriously have always gotten along great. Until we lived together. Living together changes things. I feel like I am always cleaning his dishes, buying his food, cleaning up after his dog, and it's starting to become resentment. I love the kid. He's a great guy, but not the best one for me to live with. We've asked him about his plans to move out, and originally it was January, Then mid-feb and now maybe in March. I get where Jared is coming from not wanting to inconvenience one of his BFF's but now we need him out. We're done. Everyone is done. Apparently Jare talked to him today, and gave him a very clear idea that it was time to leave. So I am hoping that it happens soon. I can't stress to you enough, that I seriously do have a great love for  him, but we cannot live together.

On a similar note. I am so glad that Jared and I dated for so long that we seriously had camped together, gone out of town, stayed together, vacationed together before we moved in together. It is hard to live with someone when you have to figure out all the ins and outs of living together and still be a newer relationship where you're still figuring out how to compromise, how to fight, how to communicate, all of those things that every relationship goes through, ya know?

Whew there was that.

Next quick rant. Black heads. I have them, I hate them. Anyone in this boat with me? I seriously try anything to get rid of them. I read that the best thing that one blogger ever tried was Biore Strips. I kind of went over board last night. Put them all over my face. Then my momma, the best esthetician in the world, gave me a mask. I decided to double dip, try them at the same time. Seriously after I waited 45 minutes to pull them both off, I don't think my skin has ever looked better.
Shia was trying to peel off my mask with her giant paw

Who are you like..

I think sometimes I get annoyed when people say things like "you look so much like my friends sister" or "my friends friend cousins baby's mama" or things like that. If someone in this world is going to share my appearance I want them to be awesome and awesome-lookiing. I may cry if someone said to me you look like cinderella's wicked step sister clearly that is  not awesome. That would just be lame. So here's the thing the only person I have ever been compared to is Zooey Deschanel. Not only do people say we are look similar, but they'll say her quirky personality reminds them of me. I take this as a huge compliment. I love her, and have loved her for a long time. So when 500 days of Summer came out..
220px Five hundred days of summer
for a few months after I would get calls and texts a lot, not like once or twice, but seriously like every time one of my  friends saw the movie {still} I would hear this "Have you seen 500 days of summer, she reminds me SO much of  you." Which truly does make me happy, because I love her. I love her goofy laugh, her funny songs, and her vintage look.
Here's a few comparison shots. What do you think?

Sorry for the crazy disorderliness of that whole collage. So then all the sudden New Girl comes out on Fox right? right.
NewGirl Wallpaper2 ZOOEY 1024x768
Of course, I am in love with this series. I DVR it, and watch every tuesday (TONIGHT!) Does anyone else just love grumpy old Nick… me too. So the same exact thing happens as when 500 days of summer came out. People at my work, my friends, and randoms ask me if I have seen that series and then they say… because you and her are so the same. Not only this, but now Jared will see her on TV and say things like "look, you're on Jimmy Fallon". Also I am in love with Jimmy Fallon, I will lose all my sleep to watch him. He is the funniest dude on late night and SNL (except Andy Sandberg).. Glad I got that off my chest. Anyway here is why I think people think we are alike.

1. We are weird. Zooey was named the quirkiest girl in people (or some other magazine)… and I know that I am strange. I like to rap to Jared when he gets home from work, I sing songs to Shia to teach her to go to the bathroom outside, I paint my nails really funny (Zooey did tux's on her nails for the Grammy's), I think everything is hilarious, I make faces at babies at the store to try and get them to give me a reaction, I try on boy clothes that are way to big and then test out different accents in them, I make up slang words, I say really awful dirty things because people don't expect it, I almost give my mom heart attacks because of the fake cuss wars I get into with my baby bro on Facebook. Two weirdo's..
2011 11 27 22 22 59 718
I think the main reasons for our comparison would be the pale skin, dark hair, really blue eyes and straight across bangs. Here are my glam eye shots: (yeah i'm kissing my dog, what of it!)
421981 10150622825877010 647727009 8954044 1409021556 n2011 11 28 22 43 33 878
The last reason. I think we get compared to one another (I am sure that all the time, she gets things like "have you read miki's blog") is because we kind of both have old souls. My dad always said that to me. I am an old soul that is stuck in a younger body. I like to think of my self as old fashioned.  Also we are both married to musicians. That's all. Maybe..

On that note I want to leave you all with one of my favorite Zooey videos:

Pinterest lied to me

I am heart broken at pinterest. Okay maybe more so the author of the article that promised me beautiful hair in 15 minutes, I should have known it was too good to  be true. But I struggle with styling my hair, I always just do it straight, it's kind of my thing I want a freeing signature hairstyle like Amy from Karmin. Anyway, I pinned this darling hairstyle pictured below:

NewImage

via

It told me these exact instructions:

"Now, can you believe it takes less than 15 minutes to create this style? No? Well, here's exactly how to do it: Section hair into 5-10 big sections than braid each into a loose braid. Run a flat iron over each braid, let them cool down, spray hairspray and undo the braids. See? I told you!"

LIAR

I first tried this on Saturday night when we were headed out to poker night (that was the plan before jare got a migraine anyway). I had showered and mostly let my hair dry. I have super textured curly hair and so I thought this would actually work since my hair tend to hold really well. I did exactly as they told me and my hair seriously looks like a fluffy flat frizz ball, it was so bad that I actually thought I was going to have to shower again and try something new, since I'd put product in my hair and everything - I was kind of a hot hair mess. Since we didn't end up going out, I didn't care about my hair anymore. But then I thought I would try it again today for work, because you have to give everything a second chance right? I tweaked the process a little thinking the braids needed more time to set, so I french braided my hair over night, and then took it out sprayed a little hair spray in it and rebraided it as per their instructions once again. Still my hair is not as beautiful as this lame girl above. Instead this is what it looks like:

Photo on 2 20 12 at 10 34 AM

Photo on 2 20 12 at 10 33 AM

So there is a bit of wave. Mostly it just isn't straight. But clearly the article over promised.

There is my pinterest rant. Be careful what you pin guys. It may disappoint you greatly.

weekend playlist

I think I decided I want to start a series on my blog. A music series! I seriously listen to music 24/7. All day at work that is what keeps me in a good mood and dancing in my chair. When I am in the car, I belt it out and I dance. My  most favorite drive are when Jared turn on the 20 on 20 station on sirius XM, and just sing and dance while driving. Last weekend we had so much fun we took the long way back from the BYU game just to jam. Also my talented musician husband is always playing guitar at home. Seriously at  least 3 times a night I fall asleep listening to him play acoustic songs (he won't sing to me though), and the other 4 days… metal music on Rock Smith. Not so romantic ;) Anyway, there are some songs that just make my heart really happy, and in turn make me a happier person, I thought maybe my music could make you happy too. I mentioned a few songs earlier this week, and for some reason I feel like I am sharing a hidden gift that will make everyone dance around the world. I listened to lots of different music depending on my mood, the day, the weather, the temperature. And so on… So here is my list for the week. The songs I am lovin very most. I will give you some background on the songs too. Because that's just my style.
I seriously want your feedback too, tell me what your jam is this week. I want more music always.

Number one Gun - The best of you and me
This was a song that Jared and I listened to a lot when we first met. I remember listening to it camping at a KOA a few years ago, and I just started to get butterflies in my stomach. Then I found out last week that Jeff is the only guy in this band! He also tracks all the instruments and does the vocals, can you even believe how amazing he sounds? He has a gorgeous voice and I think this is definitely one of my favorite songs ever. We actually used it on our wedding video, and when I hear this song behind that footage it makes me freeze. I love songs like that.

The Cinema - Picasso
The cinema was created after Lydia broke up, because Mindy White left the band. I was head over heels for Lydia, but it was like rainy day music, and the cinema is more  up beat. Plus Leighton's voice makes me want to buy him a puppy (highest form of endearment). Their entire album makes me happy, but this is definitely the single on the CD if ya know what I mean.

Reba - Somebodys Chelsea
This is one of those songs that I am in love with. Every single time it comes on my iTunes or iPod then I replay it at least two or three times. This song makes me cry, I love old people. I love old love stories, and I absolutely love a man who loves his one and only women. Could you imagine sitting on a plane talking to this man? You'd cry too. Then you'd be happy. Everyone wants to be somebody's chelsea. A part of a love story that has no end. I mean does it get any cuter.

The Sounds - Something to Die For
Josh, my twin in law, showed me this band when we were up at the cabin playing scrabble. I have no idea what it is about their techno girl sound, but it draws me in. They are incredibly talented.

Foreign Fix - Shameless
This is Taylor Hartley, he actually played at my wedding. I lived next to him for a few years. He does all the instruments himself and then records them separately and mixes them. Of course, he does vocals too. He has two CDs that are Eps out, and no joke I listen to them both on replay anytime that I need a pick me up.

Eye Alaska - Through Willow and Streams
First of all if you love this song, I am sorry. This band broke up and the new project is not nearly as good (according to me).. I first heard this band live a few years ago at a little local show, and thought their mix or jazz and rock was way too weird. Didn't like it all. Now I cherish their CD. I think it was mad talent, and I sometimes get cravings to hear them.

Flipsyde - Angel
My roommate Jenny, made me a mixCD. She is funny isn't she? Well On this CD I didn't know any artists, and this was one of the songs. It is kind of funny, but it's all about this guy saying his mom is and angel, and she's working with god to keep him out of trouble. I also like that it's about Alabama, because after seeing sweet home alabama, I didn't think there was anything bad there, just blood hounds and pretty lakes. See how naive I can be.

Bunco Wednesday!

Whenever I get super excited and squeal about how excited I am to play bunco, people think I am 70 years old. But not even one girl in my group is 70 years old. Believe it or not! =) Last night I was able to host bunco, there are 12 girls in the group and we each host one month out of the year. We've played for 2 whole friggin  years! Isn't that crazy? I think that's the longest I've committed to something and actually still loved it (outside of people and puppies)… activity wise. So my theme last night was mustaches. I had fake mustaches for all the girls, and all my signs had mustaches on them. I served an easy peasy soup bar dinner and then we played our little hearts out. Shia had a blast following all the girls and sniffing them. Jared, Justin and Laughter stayed as far away from the squealing girls as possible. All in all it was super fun. I had my 2 old roommates sub for girls that couldn't make it, and it was so fun to share with them the mysterious game of bunco I used to leave them every 3rd Wednesday of the month for! I think everyone should start a bunco group. It's a fun reason to get together every  month, win prizes, be loud and talk girl!

Here's a few of us in my kitchen with our mustaches on, and Shia licking Talena probably.

IMG952012021595191123

Probably most of my readers also aren't 70, if you want to  know what this fantastic game is, here are the rules. It really is a ton of fun. I would describe it myself, but I am kind of known for being the most terrible bunco player ever. Ask any of these girls, I always win the "most losses" prize. At least I get a prize right?

Surprise!

I mentioned before that all my other valentines had been big surprises. I hadn't heard any word from Jared by the time I left work on if I should grab or make dinner or anything. I assumed he'd probably come home late from work, and we'd eat some yummy dinner together, and catch up on the bachelor. I opened the front door, and my house was immaculate. That NEVER happens unless I did it. It will  be clean, but not super clean. The floor was mopped, the rooms were vacuumed, dishes done, and it smelt wonderful. I seriously almost cried. This had meant Jared used his lunch break ( so i thought) to come and do all of this for me. My favorite movie in the world was playing {big fish}, and Jared had sewed my buttons back on my jacket. I have no idea how to sew, and when I try it's always a disaster. So... I walk in our room to get the pupster out and there was a note, telling me to find my present somewhere in the house. I was looking in drawers and under the bed, and everywhere. Finally I make my way downstairs, and still searching under the couch, coffee table in our rented out rooms and in the bathroom. Everywhere. But then I open the laundry room door, and there they were… NEW washer and DRYER! This is so amazing. Our old ones have been on the fritz for a few months, and even flooded our basement a while ago. I had no idea. I almost cried again… He is so thoughtful! They are front loaders too! So now I can start to create my dream laundry room!
As soon as I get back upstairs Jared was there with some roses for me, and he cooked me a delicious italian stuffed chicken breast! So yummy! It was a perfect Valentines yet again! We also found out one of Jared's best friends and his wife are having a baby! I am so excited, and I have to wait until October to buy him baby golfing clothes. Dang!
Perfect Valentines!
PicsArt 1329328324542

ALSO I am hosting BUNCO tonight! I am having a great week, and it's only getting better! I have 12 girls coming up to my house tonight including my favorite 2 (old) roommates that are subbing for some friends that can't make it. I am so happy they'll be here! So much LOVE

I love all the love and lovin happen tonight. I thought in my head let's not post until valentines is over, and I no what I did. Then I thought hey let's make the most lovey dovey post that ever happened in the face of man kind. That's what I am here to accomplish today. I thought maybe I'd tell you 10 of my most favorite thing to love on a daily basis. Deal? done.
Keep in mind my number 2 love kept me up all night, so I am extremely tired.

My Jare Hound Pumpkin Brains. That is my real pet name for him. I love him for lots of reasons. I  love it when he wakes me up in my  nightmares, I love that he helps me talk through all my decisions, I love that he calls me to tell me exciting news, I love that he is personable and caring and sincere. Jared and I have officially been together 3 years and 2 weeks now, married for 5 months and 18 days maybe.. Jared has taught me great communication, optimism in everything and to live happily. I just want to kiss him right now. dang.

SHIA! El Spinells, Nelly. I love this dog as if she were a human child. I stay up with her at night when she is throwing up. I take her to the vet way too often. Mostly I love getting home from work and seeing Shia there waiting for me, wag gin her cute little nub tail and so excited she doesn't know if she should walk or sit. I usually throw my bags down and cuddle with her by the heater every day for a few minute after work. That is really valuable time. You can't have a bad day with her around. She will make you laugh. I remember when she tore her ACL and I saw her physically in pain for the first time, and I just held her and cried. Jared came home and rushed us to the vet. She couldn't use her leg for 6 weeks, meaning we had to carry our 50lb dog out to do her business, bring her food and water to her, and all 3 of us were confined to our room watching movies together all day every day for a month and a half getting up every 4 hours to give her pain meds. It really was extremely hard, but it brought us all so much closer. Jared and I learned to be extremely selfless in everything our time, our sleep, our work and everything. To you, my love!

Mary Bess. My sweet sister in law. I love you. I love that everyday Mary sign on to Gchat and keeps me entertained while we are both at work. I love that you care so much about my life, enough to ask me about things you know are important to me like my house remodel, christmas plans, vacations and everything under the moon. I think you know I would do anything to ensure your  happiness, and I think that you would do the same. I feel like you know how much I appreciate you becoming one of my best friends, listening to me vent about everything and anything, being open and non judgmental. Also you are the wonderful mom to my only niece and nephew. Love you Mary!

Ellen, elliki, Eope. My bff for life girl. Since we were babies we have been through pretty much everything together. I feel like anyway. I thank you for letting me find my own happiness and being there for  me when I did find it. It meant everything to me to have you there at my wedding and I love you more than is imaginable. I need someone to text when I don't know which book to buy, which coffee to choose, which music to listen to, what to do when I am sad, and what to do when Shia tests my limits. I just love you. Happy Vday to you! I think you know that I really believe that you will find the perfect man one day, so no stress for now ok? This picture at lagoon years ago always makes me laugh. We're winners.

Kjerstin. You are my pen pal bff. After you moved away after high school I wa so happy to reconnect with you and keep our friendship strong as ever. I love talking to you when you're in town, and texting you when you're not. I love seeing you so happy and making your world so wide. I can't wait to see all the amazing things you do with your life. Also, the fact that you came up and spent both days of my wedding with me meant a lot. It's funny how much the little things actually matter. I apologize that last weekend didn't work out, but you know when you get engaged.. I'll be down there every weekend with you and Kjane helping you plan your wedding! Love you more than stars that are in the sky baby girl!

My family. My momma, dad, and my sweet brothers. I love you all. More than I have words in my vocabulary which is a lot of words. Sometimes when I decide to rip out all my carpet and put in new floors, you guys are the first ones to show up at 7am on a saturday ready to help. That is very nice. I also love how involved we allow each other to be in our lives. It is important for me to stay close to my family.

My in laws. I am very lucky to marry into such a wonderful family. I love having a big family. I love having a twin-in-law. I love always having something to do between the 8 siblings and the 6 marry-ins. I love the sense of friendship we all have outside of actually being family. I love that when we decide to have a small get together with just family it is always more than 10 people.

I love my job. I have an opportunity to be OCD and get paid for it, plus I am now getting the opportunity to design and I love that I can learn everything from such experienced people. I also love the opportunity to work with my dad and brother. I know that sounds odd, but it makes work fun to work with 2 people you get along with so much that you can barely go an hour without laughing historically. I love the we were the foundation of the company and added to our little Fritz and Andre family. Work is good people.

I sincerely love songs that make you happy every day. No matter what day it is, what mood you are in, you hear them and now you're going to smile the whole way through the song. I live for those songs.
